Bank Holiday Monday had the traditional Lustleigh 10k, which starts and finishes at the Summer Fair.
The course sets off steadily through the fields around the back of the village but soon heads up into the hills to give a challenging event.
It was another very warm day for the race, and with a midday start the heat was extremely challenging.
Well done to the BVR runners: Paul Fursdon 51:29, Tor Tuckey 59:33, Freddy Sellwood 559:54, Emma Start 1:00:44, Grainne Cole 1:03:41, Sarah Temlett 1:05:43, Howie Bruger 1:06:12, Laura Kilduff 1:13:20, Kirby Mellony 1:21:20, Jon Evans 1:22:45
Last weekend the Teignbridge Trotters had the 39th running of the Haytor Heller, an event that needs no more description other than the title!
With a distance of 10k, and total ascent of over 400m, it is a tough event, and very well organised.
Starting just below Haytor you head straight up over the top and make your way to Black Hill, then a drop down to Becka Brook and a sharp climb up to Greator Rocks and on to Hound Tor. Heading back via Holwell Lawn you cross over the Brook again and are then confronted with the climb up the side of Holwell Quarries and back over Haytor to the finish.
Simon Corley finished in 59:12, followed by Paul Kennedy-Bruyneels 1:05:49, Rob White 1:08:20, Sarah Temlett 1:08:35, Simon Marks 1:10:54 (on his racing debut), Louise Davis 1:11:28 and Howie Bruger 1:12:59.

The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the UK and three BVR members made the long journey up north to complete the event.
Well done to Tim Magor 1:54:03, Jill Bishop 2:41:16, Kathryn Carroll 2:43:42.
