Last week Anna Gocher travelled down to Cornwall for the Purple Gecko event the Smugglers Way.
This is a North to South traverse of the county from Boscastle down to Looe, via Bodmin Moor. A total of 37 miles with over 4000 feet of elevation. Anna completed the run in an amazing time of 8:17:02 finishing as 4th female. Great running Anna.
On Bank Holiday Monday Rob White was up in London for the Vitality 10k race – joining over 7,000 other runners, including Mo Farah and Eilish McColgan.
Starting on the Mall the course set off through Admiralty Arch, past Trafalgar Square and over to the City of London before returning and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.
Hitting a fairly steady pace, as a nice flat course, Rob hit 5k in 24:59 spot on his timing for a sub 50-minute finish. He lost time over the next few kms, but a final push to the finish and he crossed the line in 49:48 – his fastest 10k for 4 years.
