Not an overly busy week for Bovey Valley Runners, but with Parke run, as well as the Run on the Edge half marathon organised by Wild Running completed by Rob White and Maurice Raymont, there always is reason to celebrate.
The Parke run is a weekly event, but this week was a Santa spectacular, with members such as Erica Ross, Steve Cooney, Jon Evans, Katherine Carol, Jill Bishop, Rob White, Nicola Huckerby and Donna Marie amongst others joining the festive fun. Santa hats and elves costumes were the perfect way to spend the final Parke run of 2021.
Maurice Raymont and Rob White continued their running success competing in Run on the Edge half marathon in Cornwall on Sunday.
The out and back run in Cornwall from Cremyll with mud, road and inclines was a superb event for all involved, with beautiful scenery in Kingsand and Cawsand on the way to Rame Head. Both finishing in fantastic time for a coastal run with an elevation of 1,883ft, Maurice finished in 2 hours 12 minutes and Rob White in 2 hours 16 minutes.
A huge congratulations to both on this amazing achievement, representing the club in their green tops!
