The Bovey Valley Runners travelled far and wide last week to take part in various events.
Furthest afield, Jennie Butterworth and Kirsty Pearce made the trek over the border into Wales for the Cardiff Half Marathon. This is an event that has made a return after 2 years and with over 25,000 runners it is an occasion to be savoured.
As with all races last weekend, it was a warm day with Jennie completing the course in 2:19:24 and Kirsty in 2:23:24.
Winding Paths held heir latest events, this time locally on the South Devon Coast Path with several race distances available.
Susanne Westgate was in the 10K and completed the race in 1:48:12, whilst in the Half Marathon there was Amanda Hemelik, Maddy Smith, Victoria Latham and Maurice Raymont.
The Half starts at Paignton Green and follows the coast all the way through to Shaldon – if you have walked along the path you will know there is a lot of ups and downs, with nearly 1,000m of ascent.
Amanda took second place in 2:31:09, with Maddy just behind in third female at 2:39:20, whilst Victoria and Maurice both completed in 2:28:17
Meanwhile Anna Gocher selected the 30-mile Ultra course, starting at Kingswear and following the coast path to Berry Head and Brixham before joining the Half course in Paignton. Anna completed in an excellent time of 7:52:48
