Under very humid conditions there was a great turnout of BVR runners for the Cardiff Half Marathon. This is a very established race with over 20,000 taking part.
The fast, flat course passes through some of the iconic landmarks in the city including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, and Cardiff Bay. Then a loop of Roath Park Lake before the finish at the Civic Centre. Steve Cooney reported that “I was aiming for 2 hours or better so having it 7 miles in an hour I was a little disappointed to fall away. I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t done it to give the Cardiff Half a bash”.
