Tim Ashman of BVR took on the Centurion event, the South Downs Way 100 miles, starting at 6am on Saturday 8th June, with 30 hours to complete the course.
Starting in Winchester, the route follows the beautiful South Downs way national trail to route over the hills finishing in Eastbourne.
Tim ran very well in the heat of Saturday afternoon, needing the temperature to cool overnight. The later part of the night came with some challenges to get food in during witching hour, but he remained dedicated to finishing, continuing through to dawn when eating became a bit easier.
He ran the lap around the Eastbourne sports arena to the finish line with a total time of 26.03 hours! Great achievement and a first buckle for Tim.
Victoria Latham took part in the Buckland Bounder, part of the SW Fellrunners series of Dartmoor runs, and part of the Buckland Monachorum Summer Fair. With just over 10k and nearly 300m of ascent it was a challenging run. Victoria finished in 58:27.
