All members will receive weekly email updates of the booking process for training sessions
Monday Evening
Time: 7pm
Meeting Place: Car Park opposite Mill Marsh Entrance by Co-Op
Training: Running Development – an hour of running development exercises, sessions vary each week to include hill sprints, circuits and interval training.
Wednesday Evening
Time: 7pm
Meeting Place: Car Park opposite Mill Marsh Entrance by Co-Op
Training: Group Runs – there are 5 different groups:
- Blue Group: Progress Group suited to those who have recently completed the Couch-to-5k programme
- Orange Group: 12:30 – 14:30 min/mile pace. Max distance approx 4 miles
- Purple Group: 10:30 – 12:30 min/mile pace. 5 – 6 miles
- Yellow Group: 8:30 – 10:30 min/mile pace. Up to 8 miles
- Green Group: <8:30 min/mile pace. For experienced runners, often involving trails
Each group operates a run leader and back runner so no-one gets left behind. If you are unsure which pace group you would be suited to, it’s best to start slow then work your way up!
Thursday Evening
Time: 7pm
Meeting Place: Bovey Tracey Football Club
Training: Couch to 5km (C-5K) – for absolute beginners. Over a period of weeks the C-5K programme aims to encourage beginners into running. The first session is only 30 minutes consisting of 5 minutes warm up walk, 1 minute jogs intersected with 1.5 minute walks, and then a 5 minute cool down walk. By the end of the programme we aim to get you running for a whole 30 minutes/5km.
Friday Morning
Time: 9:30am
Meeting Place: Car Park opposite Mill Marsh Entrance by Co-Op
Training: 5km social run catering for all abilities
